On March 4th, all the principals of the schools of the Marist Province of Compostela had the opportunity to learn a little more about the Marist Global Network of Schools. Brother Carlos Alberto Rojas, Director of the Institute’s Secretariat for Education and Evangelization, took advantage of the invitation to present the project at the general meeting held in León. This joint meeting shows the union of all in this project which connects more than 600 Marist schools in 80 countries.
Br. Carlos Alberto Rojas recalled that the origin of this project is to be found in the call of the last General Chapter to “Journey together as a global family” and to build networks of Marist mission. Since 2017, progress has been made along different lines, and this Marist Global Network of Schools is beginning to consolidate itself as a meeting point for all.
The Network offers a space so that the whole Marist school community could meet globally and to promote activities of interest, that foster educational quality, connection, exchange, innovation and technology, evangelisation, and social transformation. Journeying together, we are more than 70,000 educators at the service of children and young people.
Simple activities such as placing the global map in our school help us to gradually get to know and benefit from this project.
