RECIPIENTS:
Students, Teachers, parents and people interested in promoting Marist Student Leaadership through a Marist Global Student Council.
OBJECTIVE:
To empower students to lead through Marist Values in their school communities supported by the global presence of the Marist school community. The Marist Global Student Council will allow students the opportunity to meet each other, to discuss Marist Leadership, to develop Marist spirituality, share best practice on ways to develop Marist values in the school community, and to collaborate on joint Marist projects and celebrations.
CONTENT DESCRIPTION:
The Global Marist Student Council is an initiative to empower Marist students to lead with Marist values given to us by our founder Marcellin Champagnat. Each school will have a representative group of students to form a Marist Student Council and one teacher who will be the Marist Council Coordinator. Councils will focus on one joint Marist value per term and will meet regularly to create initiatives on how to develop this value in their school communities, to share ideas and examples of best practices.

Online talks and resources on Marist Values – origins and meaning
Discussions about ‘What is Marist Leadership?’
Sharing of best practice, prayer and liturgy resources.
